Shores of light

This is the other facet of my work, the abstract paintings, which are much freer and expressive than the ones with portraits, for instance, the abstract portraits are a direct response to the people being painted, think of it as a representation of their souls, minds and hearts.

While these abstract paintings are a representation of me, my soul, mind and heart.

This is how I view my work, and how my thought process goes.

For this one, I wrote a poem as well. I am a published poet, and it all started with my paintings. I used to sit and look at a painting after finishing it, and the poem would come to mind.

Free-form poetry is fascinating to me.

Waves upon waves, the sea reflects the skies.
The sound of water is a lullaby.
The sun paints the clouds, and the wind moves the canvas.
Nature is art incarnate, yet some people are blind.
I am but a humble man, sitting on the shores of light.

I hope you enjoyed it. This post will probably be the last one with the Photoshop steps because I don't tend to keep the PSD files that long, and I have hundreds of paintings, so keeping the files was too much storage space.
