You've undoubtedly encountered one of his works, whether while watching a movie, reading a comic book, playing a card game, or playing a video game! Aleksi Briclot develops worlds, stories, and characters for major companies, including Wizards of the Coast, Ubisoft, Image Comics, Dark Horse, Capcom, and Marvel Studios.

Video Games

As a concept artist and artistic director in the world of video games, Aleksi Briclot collaborated with many leading studios (Cryo, Ubisoft, Darkworks, NCsoft, Warner Bros Montreal) before co-founding the video game studio Dontnod Entertainment in 2008 (Remember Me, Life is Strange, Vampyr), where he served as artistic director.

Illustration and Card Games

As an illustrator, he has created numerous magazine covers, books, novels, and comics for Dark Horse (Halo, Stranger Things, Conan) and Marvel (Secret Avengers, The Thanos Imperative), among others. He has worked on numerous role-playing and card games, including Magic: The Gathering, produced by Wizards of the Coast, for which he is one of the lead artists.

Comics

In comics, his first work was the comic book adaptation of the video game Alone in the Dark 4, followed later by the graphic novel Spawn: Simony, which became the best-selling comic in the US during its release month. He co-authored an illustrated book about Merlin (Soleil Editions) and wrote a new graphic novel for Todd McFarlane Productions in 2011: Spawn: Architects of Fear.

In 2010, an anthology of his work, entitled Worlds & Wonders, was released.

Film Industry

He then branched out into the film industry. He worked on the French film How I Became a Superhero before joining the core visual development team at Marvel Studios, where he worked on a dozen feature films and series (Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Loki, Avengers: Infinity War, etc.). He notably created the character Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok and designed the time-travel costumes for Avengers: Endgame.

In October 2024, he published a monograph entitled Multiverse (published by Huginn & Muninn), reflecting his many talents.
