Hello everyone, this is my original IP character. The main story is set in a world where the sea has floated into the sky, causing humans and plants to suffer from limited water resources. Many things have changed as a result. Trees and plants have evolved into half-plant, half-insect creatures. If a place loses its water source, these trees will migrate like living beings in search of new environments. The inspiration for this character design comes from insects, plants, and sea creatures.
Character Story Overview:
The protagonist, Nye Dajie, is a half-god who has lost his memory. Despite having a disabled left arm, he maintains a strong will and a relentless pursuit of his true identity. He vaguely recalls being a god, but these memories could just be figments of his imagination or dreams. Nye Dorje uses a mysterious statue to channel his divine powers, which are transmitted through an insect-like creature acting as a medium. Specifically, his godly power is applied to his disabled left arm, giving it unique abilities and strength, allowing him to overcome many challenges. His journey is filled with hardships and trials, as he seeks to rediscover his true identity and find a way to return to his godhood. Along the way, Nye Dorje encounters various characters from different races, experiences mystical events, and gradually understands the meaning of life and the mysteries of the universe.
The inspiration for this back view design came from a powerful image of a Tibetan monk carrying a Buddha statue on his back. This image struck me deeply and sparked the idea for this character, who carries a mysterious statue as the source of his power. The character’s use of divine power is not direct, but rather channeled through an insect medium that transforms the god power. This idea was inspired by how insects in real life undergo metamorphosis, transforming into entirely new forms. I also drew inspiration from the concept of “zombie insects,” where parasites take over the bodies of insects, furthering the idea of transformation. Additionally, the tree trunk and plant elements attacking from the back are inspired by Chinese god statues, which often have flowing cloth floating around them. I thought it would be interesting to transform that concept into tree and plant elements as part of the character’s design. The fashion and attire of the character are also influenced by traditional Tibetan styles, adding to the character's cultural depth.
